Yep, looks like a chicken of the woods, unless it's on a conifer tree.
It was on an oak tree (with plenty of poison ivy around it). Hopefully it is still there tomorrow and I will harvest it. I have never tried it before and am looking forward to it. Any recipes you care to share?

From what I saw there really isn’t any. Possibly a Jack-O-Lantern but that is a far stretch. If it has gills on the underside stay away.
