The U.S. and Canada are now going to be sending their own police forces across the border to enforce each other's laws. Sovereignty is being erased and a "North American Union" is another step toward reality.

    Cross-border policing provokes sovereignty worries
When the Conservative government passed its controversial omnibus budget bill last month, it included new powers for certain U.S. law enforcement agents that critics say could have ramifications for Canadian sovereignty.

The Integrated Cross Border Law Enforcement Operations Act now makes it possible for American officers to cross the border into Canada where, as the act states, they have "the same power to enforce an act of Parliament as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police."

This means they'll be armed and have the powers to arrest suspects in Canadian territory.

Ha Ha, one step closer to having Canada overrun with Mexican illegals. I bet the president of Mexico endorsed this with enthusiasm.

Can you imagine Mexican cops over here soliciting bribes from motorists, or American cops in Tijuana getting their heads cut off in front of a web cam?

I just don't have the vocabulary to adequately describe the stupidity of our government. America is like the kid we all knew in school who had everything going for him, then pissed it all away when he started partying and knocked up the class skank.

    Fixed it for you. ;)

Seems our dear 'Uncle' is bracing for an attempted wave of mass out-migration. Why would we want to, in the near future, flee the motherland? Wouldn't possibly be a concentration-camp-style forced exodus, would it? Personal DEFCON just got bumped to 1.

Meh, as long as they can keep it to the water ways, I don't really have a problem with it. It's not too hard to stop someone at a land based border crossing, waterways are a completely different animal (pretty hard to fence off the middle of a river). I don't agree with moving it towards land-based capture though - any US or Canadian LEO shouldn't even get off the boat on the other side of the river.

Yeah, a Canadian trying to detain me in the US would have a bad result.

I like Canada and most Canadiens - but that ends when the frechfries run out of gravy.
