Odd question, does this job require he reload it? If he carried a black powder revolver it would not be considered a firearm. People with a felony cannot purchase a muzzle loader that uses shotgun primers, but a regular muzzle loader that uses the old style primers are just fine. How about the old black powder 6 shooter? Looks nostalgic, and should still be legal. You can also apply to have your rights restored, but I believe you have to apply in the area where the conviction happened. This is sad since a place like New York or Maryland could convict you for many things a free state would laugh at. You can't move to a freedom respecting state and ask them to expunge the conviction, it has to be in the same socialist place that the conviction happened. Just tell them you never need more than 6 bullets, after all New York just passed a 7 round max magazine limit.
