    swaging

    swaging as in lead rope and metal jackets, no I've never tried it... I know of one that has a setup to swage 223 bullets from empty 22 lr cases and some lead wire, he loves it and makes a dang good looking bullet, and seem to be accurate as well.
    I cast a lot and with rifle bullets I've never had to go past gas checks with mine, except for 30 carbine, I get a half jacket for that. I've got a tool to make gas checks from pop cans in different calibers and it works pretty good as well. then I use a Lyman sizer to lube and crimp the jackets, that works good for me.
