Has anybody seen this yet? As some one who has worked on cars most of their life I have mixed emotions. I can see value in this but at the same time I see so much of the equipment we use daily being designed so that anybody with little experience can do a job but never learn why they are doing what they are doing.

I don't want to see this done in shops but oh gosh would I love this for home use..... our oldest vehicle is a 2006 and it's almost impossible for me to do anything to it beyond plugs/wires/filters/oil/pads... granted I'm not a mechanic but when I owned 80's and early 90's cars I've been known to work on whatever needs worked on. Not so much anymore...

Well it's a neat idea but it looks like it doesn't tell you what is wrong, nothing yet really does, it just shows you how to take things apart, and with a Bimmer that could be handy as it can be a mystery sometimes how they put them together. IndySSD you need to take the plunge, I finally did and I find the newer cars very easy to work on once you understand the operating principals of the EFI system and get a good scanner.
