They should call the taliban, they have some experience.

The 40ft concrete pedestal that it sat atop will remain in place for now, until officials decide what to do with it.

Get one of those awesome george floyd statues made up.
People can come visit it and walk around it, maybe kiss a stone or something.

I'm so thankful to have lived in this very unique God given opportunity to live in freedom (LIBERTY) and That is what makes me happy.
What really pisses me off is that the left has done it's very best to take away freedom (liberty).
Everything they do is in opposition to LIBERTY ! from taking God from the public square to insisting on murdering unborn Children.
They will fight you for the right to kill a child while it is in the place where it should be most safe.
Every move they make in the name of security and safety removes yet another freedom and puts more people in slavery to the government.
Our constitution was founded on Biblical principals and is one of the greatest gifts to mankind.

So leftist socialist if we seem a little uptight maybe you'll understand when you have eyes to see the tragedy of loosing so great a gift.

What is often overlooked in all of this is that everybody who died was an American. All the farms razed, towns looted, people impoverished, money spent was American. Lincoln understood this at the end of the war and wanted to get the people reunited, missing in all of this noise was the fact that this was the goal of Robert Lee as well.

As the war was closing, General Porter Alexander suggested that the army disband and form guerilla groups, it was a popular idea. Lee had the vision to see that this would just turn the country into something like the Hatfield, McCoy feud for a long time. He had the guts, power and respect of his peers to change that course.

When the city of Richmond dips into their federal subsidy and puts up whatever "Iron Felix" they want to represent them, I'll be curious to see how the two figures compare over time.
