My son and I installed a Franklin Armory binary trigger. It was pretty easy to install and certainly a lot of fun. Well worth the money. The downside is you really rip through the rounds.

I put a binary trigger in my first AR build.
After testing firing I looked at my buddy and said "well damn now I gotta build another one."
A few weeks later I built my second AR.
All bc of that damn binary trigger.

That is funny because I am already looking for another rifle to put one in.

With that new dining room set, did you end up having Thanksgiving at your place?

There's very specific reasons to select the franklin over the fostech echo.

I have a fostech, for the record.

The fostech resets on the pull, in binary mode. The franklin resets on the release, in binary mode.
I think the franklin is a bit easier to run, but the fostech has, effectively, an auto sear to prevent dropping the hammer out of battery. It's also an amazingly good trigger if you want that classic "surprise" type break.

So with the franklin, if you outrun the action, you have to run the charging handle. With the fostech, you just have to release and pull the trigger again.

I have the fostech echo II. I was surprised as to how crisp each trigger 'pull' was. Great trigger.

You can always install a regular drop-in trigger like Rise Armament or CNC in your AR and forget to tighten down the set screws. (Ask me how I know. ;))

What exactly IS a binary trigger?

I understand it's NOT a on-off single stage trigger, nor a 2 stage trigger, and it sounds better than a bump-stock. Is it an NFA item?
