I took my mossberg out last week and it was awesome I was hitting almost every time very pleased
You can't shoot trap with a Mossberg!

Most kids don't know what they "can't do" until an adult tells them they can't make that shot. Their hearts and minds are pure until adults screw them up. Leave them alone and they tear it up. Same goes for most shooting sports. Sure, there are always guns better suited to a specific use because they are modified for that purpose, but the gun you have is better then none.

Congrats! We shoot alot of trap at my place. Guys regularly show up with mossy 500's, 870's, 1100's, versamax, and one guy shoots a single shot .410. My point is they'll all bust clays and are fun to shoot. Keep shooting your mossy and have fun. You'll eventually decide on an "upgrade".

I ran an 1100 Magnum for yrs.
Shot just as well with it as my dad's 1100 Trap (comb worked down to almost field stock dim).
If I missed it was no fault of the gun.

Note the 1100 trap has a pad. And 1100 magnums do too :)

    Heavy gun w a good pad..............comfy.
