Best bourbon under $50?

Not of a celebration tonight. My adopted Ukrainian daughter won the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Saber fencing championship GOLD MEDAL today.

Not the biggest Blantons fan really prefer EHT Single Barrel or Weller 107 from Buffalo Trace but was able to get a Polish release with our anniversary date to add to my collection. Its getting opened this weekend for my birthday. I imagine this one will be pretty amazing.

Wolf Moon is not the best bourbon under $50, but for under $20 it’s very decent.

Also, it mixes very well with Coke Starlight.

Basil Hayden out of Kentucky. Sell it at Costco for $27, and it’s spooky smooth.

I have a Four Roses small batch open right now. Pretty decent. Even got to sit by the firepit with my wife this weekend, sip a bit, and relax.

Im afraid this is probably true. In the last 6 months it has become a really hot item. Ill see a whole rack of 50 bottles at kroger and the next day they are gone. Im a sucker for collecting ER and BT store picks.

For roughly the same price I’d hoard Weller green label or Makers Mark.

Outside of Ohio, I haven't found Weller green to be hoardable. And even there, they generally limit you to 1 or 2 bottles.

It's weird, I'm usually a big fan of wheated bourbon but I prefer Buffalo Trace to Maker's. Unless it's Maker's 46.

In other news, wife saw a bottle of Weller single barrel yesterday, the orange one. It was marked $999.99.

Picked up a bottle of Makers Mark 46 at Big Red for $31 and change.

Picked up a Weller Full Proof, a Larceny Barrel Proof, an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and limited edition bottle of Bardstown tonight on my way to the fencing club.

Sipping the EC and it is pretty hot, even after melting an ice cube in the glass.
