Bill passed Oct. 20, A man I admired thru his articles, I met him once at the Boat sport and travel show about 1978, he was manning a booth along side George Tilford (onother outdoorsman) selling their book "lets go fishing". As a youngster I loved reading his outdoor articles in the Star and News and thought I was meeting a hero! A real Indiana outdoors Icon! Link Bayou Bill's All Outdoors Home Page, Bill Scifres

I admired his writing as well. I have treasured a copy of his Indiana Outdoors book for many years. I always hoped he would do an updated version of it.

I lived across the street from him for 20years---a good friend and neighbor---we shared many hunting stories together.
