I just checked gun broker, and all the M855 under 45 cents per round has been gobbled up (there was lots available last week). The average price right now seems to be about 60 cents. How long do you think it will be before it hits $1.00 per round?
Two auctions on Gunbroker for 420-round cans already up to $300 with time left on the clock:
420 Federal 5.56 ammo XM855 Nato 62 gr Green Tip : Rifle Ammunition at GunBroker.com
420 Federal XM855 5.56 ammo 62 gr Penetrator Armor : Rifle Ammunition at GunBroker.com
Here's 300 rounds for $600 buy it now:
300 Federal AE XM855 5.56 223 Ball 62GR NO RESERVE : Rifle Ammunition at GunBroker.com
So all I ever shoot is Federal XM193 or PMC's 223..... How long until this stuff is hard to come by?

Can they unilaterally do this?
Kind of funny how people freak out. I can understand buying up m855, but there will definitely soon be a run on every other .223 and 5.56 loading even though they're not even under scrutiny. Heck, there will probably be another ammo shortage on all calibers. So all I ever shoot is Federal XM193 or PMC's 223..... How long until this stuff is hard to come by?
Sad but true, they can and HAVE done this unless this happens.Until someone brings a lawsuit, OR congress starts impeachment proceedings. Yes.

I think a lot of gun owners just look for something to freak out about.
I agree with you there. I've been stocking up on what I can. Didn't have the finances to before the last panic, but I do now. I can't imagine what will happen if she gets elected. The Hillary is going to take our guns campaign is about a year out.
