    Go ahead and toss a few rounds in the campfire and then catch a red-hot brass down your neck...... You REALLY hate it when THAT happens. Still I can't imagine it warranting a trip to the hospital without getting hit in the eye or something. When I get little shards of brass in my skin I just pick it out and go on.

    My father talks about how as a kid he would go up to the corner drug store and buy .22 shorts for 5 for a penny, and then throw them on the ground so they would go boom. Never was hurt, and I do believe that Mythbusters did an experiment and as they figured if the round was not chambered then it just goes boom, not to say that flying shrapnel couldnt put an eye out, but nothing like a gunshot wound.
