Was outside yesterday morning.. at work about north east side of Fort Wayne and a large prop plane with Air Force markings flew over.. couldn’t see it very well at all. I maybe wrong about if it was a B17, but it was loud and couldn’t tell if it was 2 or 4 engines.. anyone confirm??

Interesting. I work right next door to the airport so I see nearly every plane landing. So whatever you saw did not stop here. Unless it was during my nap time and I missed it. :)

Perhaps you saw a B-25 Mitchell Berlin Express?

Auburn Airport Museum? Took my Dad for a round of the Auburn Museums some years ago and came across a claimed 501c3 Hangar Museum that didn't appear to be much more than one man's collection that he hoped the public would subsidize thru outrageous admission, is that the one?

Aluminum Overcast used to fly into the Bloomington airport from time to time, and circle the town on their rides. Nothing else looked or sounded like that thing passing overhead.

B-17 has 4 engines. C-47 have 2 engines Still a few of those around also.

I scraped up the money for a ride on the B-17 that the EAA flies. Great experience. Not cheap but you cannot take it with you.

This is correct, B-25, it came in for a couple touch and goes before flying up to Auburn
