    One of Rand's major failings is that she considered even her mundane choices and preferences to be rooted so deeply in reason as to take on moral relevance.
    Exactly. If she decided to have chocolate cake for dessert, she would not simply say "I feel like having chocolate cake", she'd turn it into a philosophically-rationalized choice and declare that anyone who didn't eat chocolate cake for dessert was immoral and unworthy of notice.

    Humm maybe I miss you guys at the State conventions then ....

    A) I'm not in your state, so you wouldn't see me at any state conventions, though I did try to get the wife to agree to go to GenCon this year.
    B) I'm a philosophical libertarian, not a member of a particular political party; this is summarized by dross' statement expressing a distinction between "libertarian" and "Libertarian".
