AR Gunsmith?

I am wanting to do an AR build and was wondering if there are any gunsmiths in the indianapolis area that can assemble an upper and also pin and weld a flash hider on a 14.5 inch barrel? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You don't need a gunsmith to build the upper, there are plenty of guys on here with tools who would probably be happy to walk you through the process. Pinning and welding the flash hider you will need help with.

Hit up AllenM and see if he can help you out. He is a gunsmith with a welder. Also hit up Mike or Chad at US Defense Solutions. I know they do AR building classes and could help you out with build a upper.

Unless you've made a 'hard' decision on the 14.5" barrel, you will have a lot more flexibility with a 16" barrel. Lots of people think 14.5 is the way to go, until the latest and greatest flash hider or comp comes along…...

I agree with manatee. Stick with a 16 barrel.
