:rockwoot:Is that considered an SBR even though it's in pistol caliber ?

Also , is the mag well set up to use pistol mags or did it need modified ?

Yes in this configuration it would be considered a SBR. The upper has a 6" barrel on it. Caliber doesn't matter.

Using the Olympic Magazines no lower modifications are needed. Thats one of the reasons I went with them. My lower is a registered M16 and I wanted to shoot it in FA, otherwise I would have gone with one of the AR45 lowers out there.

I am gonna venture to say that it isnt a SBR but a MG ;)

If ya wanted to be a nit pick then yes, yes it is.

It was like shooting the Kriss or the Tommy :) good times.
Best part was the Cheap BSA red dot I put on it was zeroed in right from shot number one. Super acurate out of the box.

Anyone know where I can find some converted Uzi, sten, Grease mags for the Ar-15? I've even seen some converted drums online but not sure how to get them or who does them yet. I might just get more Olympic mags - probably cheaper anyways.

You thinking pistol or rifle caliber?
    Pistol Cal.

I am torn between 3 of them.
9mm it is sooooo cheap to shoot up...
.45ACP been one of my favorites ever since I got hands on a Tommy...
or .357 Sig just cause I think it would rock coming out of a Carbine...

oh .45acp for me, I just love shooting that caliber out of a rifle :dunno:(thompson in FA):D
I was issued a Thompson a couple of times when I was in the Service. We still have some in the Inventory... ;)

I have talked to Ron Williams quite a few times about his system. He uses modified grease gun (m3) mags in a standard lower. Ron is the only show in town if you want a DI 45 cal AR-15 upper. Everyone else is blow-back. Bazooka brothers is selling Ron Williams uppers with their guns.

RRA is working on a 40 cal upper but seems to be having some sever magazine issues. (there is a thread over on arfcom about it)

I would have gone DI but thats me.
