When it hits 0, run outside.
Is there any other way to do that?
But on a serious note, that is a very short sighted move. Its a good way to lose sales for those x days that nobody can look up anything on the website. I know if I had a customer service issue I'd be pissed I had to wait for their countdown to look up an email address or phone number to contact them.
By all means. Have a kickoff countdown. But as PART of the website, not the whole damned thing.

that is what I was thinking, if this is not a site hack . it is a stupid move for sales..
I was wanting to purchase a holster tonight, guess it won't be one of theirs..
True. But if their old software is going to be completely incompatible with their new software, better to take the whole thing offline until the reboot.
Also, if you do a search for "safariland customer service", the phone number comes right up.

In today's modern virtual server world, its a total non issue.
Step 1: Stand up new platform on new virtual server.
Step 2: thoroughly test new platform privately.
Step 3: Change DNS to point to new virtual server with new platform so that consumers now browse to that server.
There. Done. No compatibility issues, weekend long maintenance windows, etc.
Believe me, I wish it was that damned easy. It seems like it is so right, and everyting is going along so smoothly, and then, after implementation, something jumps up and bites you in the poopoo.
It happens.

This.I've got a Safariland ALS holster for every working pistol that I own. For an open carry/tactical holster, I wouldn't want anything else.
Other people sell Safariland holsters on the internet. Heck, I bought at least 3 of mine off of Amazon.
It looks to be up now.
