I haven't wheeled mine yet, but my TJ handles so much better with the front antirock. Taking turns, driving thru curves, it handles like it's riding on rails.

I need to upgrade steering box and reinforced my frame where the box goes to. Broken bolt(one of three) is causing steering box to flex away from frame.

Oh Yea, I need to trim my fenders...

I know they are unibodies. We jokingly call XJs beercans...

Best thing about them is that they are cheap to buy and more utilitarian, which is something I value. I have had a 60's Jeep, a 46 Jeep, a YJ and a TJ before and love the XJ for usefulness. Now that I have one I am not daily driving it, I can start working on it for off road since the price is right. :)

another "out of the box" post in a thread such as this.....got bored at work today, and FINALLY (after 3 years or so) finished one of my HID retrofit headlights - the other will have to wait until another slow day.

Front soft doors are now on. I'm using these for chilly mornings and rain showers. Otherwise, she'll be front doors off, most of the time. Eventually, I'll get the rears, too. I just couldn't afford them all at once. They do a bit of flapping at speed, but still there's no more noise than my old YJ. With the top halves off, though, it reminds me a lot of the YJ.

I have thought of picking up some half doors for my TJ. Just haven't wanted to spend that much money yet.
When I finally get around to replacing my ragtop, I want to pick up 2-piece soft doors as well. The cost isn't all THAT much more than a nice top, especially since I don't need the frame.

I'd go doorless, but my wife wants the doors.

Went to the Pic a Part yard off of 16th st today with my 7 yr old in tow. He wants to be a mechanic and thought he'd get a thrill out of it. No kids allowed...talk about a let down. Was gonna do some XJ scavenging.
