Knock on the door the other day. I can see that the gentleman standing there has a census ID. Open door and he asks me about the house next door. (House next door has been vacant for the last two+ years.) He asked me if there was anyone living there on April 1st and I tell him no. He thanks me and leaves.

    Kinda boring, don't you think?

The Census has been bothering both of my nieghbors. I just let him know that they were both new to the neighborhood and I thought, but wasn't sure that they had moved in after April 1st 2010. I told him I could be mistaken, because of my TBI, but I was pretty sure. He asked me to sign their forms swearing to the fact, which I wouldn't. Asked for my phone number to which I told him we didn't have a home phone.

I had one ring my doorbell last week. I opened it not sure what to expect since the SO filled out everything when we sent it in. Turns out he wanted to know about an apartment upstairs. I just told him i didn't know who they were. He wanted to keep asking but I had no information. I'm not really sure whether I would have said anything had I known. I'd probably just have said the same thing I said anyways even if I did know my neighbors.

I would hope so. reverse the situation. How would you like a neighbor giving out information about you that you might not want disseminated?

I filled out the Census, but wouldn't provide information on anyone else.

Who am I to screw with someone's tin foil hatted protest? If they want .gov to know the info, they'll tell them.
