Glad your Bro is alright.
I can understand that LGS customers can be dangerous/untrained/foolish.
But no excuse for the LGS employees not to at least attempt to manage the customers and their gun handling.
A good start would be the sign on the door at my LGS: ALL PISTOLS MUST REMAINED HOLSTERED. LONG GUNS MUST BE UNLOADED.

When a customer wants to try a holster or mag, we ask if they have the gun with them. In never fails to amaze me the response not being "yes", but rather an immediate draw. Next time, I'm going to ask if they have <genitalia> and see if they immediately take it out and wave it around.

I work in a gun store where it is not so unusual to see some yahoo walk in with a long gun, with a mag in the gun and the bolt closed. You tell them they need a case or to return that firearm to their vehicle and they lose their S***. Tired of some of these idiots that are floating around making gun owners look like a bunch of Fudds.

I will never understand the obsession with coonfingering guns in public.

There was no need to do any of that, yet it was related as if it is a common happening.
