I've shot the AK and own an SKS, and just today became an owner of the Saiga 20ga. :rockwoot:

Depending on your usage either is better. Both can be loaded quickly enough, if not the SKS faster, BUT the SKS with a Fixed mag only holds 10 rounds. That's not to say you can't take a detachable Tapco mag and not remove it and still load it with stripper clips! Do that with your AK!

Accuracy, hands down the SKS. I can "boom the bad guy" (as my 3yo son says) at 100yds, no scope every 19/20 shots and I need new glasses. Don't think you can do that with an AK.

Weight, meh, never held both back to back, plus I prefer the Tapco Fusion stock on my SKS so it's lighter still. :dunno:

Price, SKS, oh yea. 250-300 for a nice one. AK... MINIMUM 600 anywhere you look. FOR A WASR!!! *sigh* I still want a Dragunov....

    BTW, I own a 20" Norinco, not the 16" fire-breathing dragon! LOL

My vote, SKS. Unless you hand me a Dragunov.....
