AK gas block id's

I have a Romanian SAR-1 with a ground off lug on the gas block. I would like to replace this with a gas block that has a bayonet lug. I need to know if all AK gas blocks are the same. That is if the inner diameter where they contact the barrel are the same size, or if country of origin determines this. Any help would be appreciated.

SAR-1 should take any AKM style gas block. A Romy gas block should be fairly easy to locate. Try Apex Gun Parts.
