How did an untrained novice, with a unfamiliar weapons, under incredibly adverse high stress conditions, achieve reload and accuracy rates, and most importantly a casualty count, that exceeded those of the world’s best competition shooters and special operators?

How did he carry the necessary weapons and ammunition into Pulse Nightclub on a hot Florida summer night without arousing the suspicion of one patron, staff member, or bouncer before firing shots?

Why does the author of this article assume Mateen was untrained and unfamiliar with weapons?
How could he possibly know that with certainty?

For example, Mateen is known to have at least traveled to Saudi Arabia twice.
We have no idea what happened on even these trips.

Not to mention the terrorist training camps here in the USA.

How are we making this assumption?Untrained? Unfamiliar? Someone who was a security guard and a wannabe cop?

Because everyone is not a highly trained observer like you are, you beast of a cop. Geez, someone post the video of the kid pulling out all the guns off his person.

Maybe a UPS box? A guitar case? Or, in the South, a banjo case? Maybe he just slung arms and walked in a fire exit that he propped open like in Colorado. Heck, I've carried long guns African and people do not detect that I have a long gun.

Empirical data and current evidence suggests he did not act alone. We must at least explore the possibility of other shooters.

Um, Ok, maybe the Florida police should do an investigation or something. Oh, wait, they are.

My fear however is that the current version will be promoted to preserve the anti-gun narrative that has already emerged. It is much more politically expedient for the Obama administration to claim that this was a single actor motivated more by homosexual self loathing than Islam, and enabled by easy accessibility to guns.

Right, we don't have to read all of Qutb to know that plenty of other lone wolf Jihadi Johnnies or Moe Mujihadis that have gone all Aloha Snackbar after SJS--all by their lonesomes.

By all means investigate. Maybe the wife is part of the conspiracy or assisted in the murders. Don't know. Let's find out.

But, this silly speculation does not help matters or only adds tot he confusion.
