    I found this chart on 9mm bullet expansion and thought I would share it for discussion. Looks like the Federal bullets do very well when tested. I would have liked to see how Hornady XTP does for comparison.

    Bullet expansion in water jugs is a good indicator of how well a particular bullet performs when fired into a water jug.

    And not much else.

    Almost any hollowpoint will expand when fired into water. The accepted medium for bullet expansion/penetration testing is calibrated ballistic gelatin. Not Cletus and his water jugs.

    This wasn't my test I just found it interesting. I suppose an argument could be made that ballistics gel represents tissue but leaves bone and clothing out of the equation.

    So testing with ballistic gel is only ok if your name isn't Cletus? Asking for a friend. :D

    FYI, I am scared of zombie water jugs AND zombie ballistics gelatin. :scared:
