    The scale of what happened that day (and for the war in general) just amazes me. I mean think about it. In one day, nearly as many brave souls lost their lives than in the years that we were involved in Iraq and Afghanistan. Which is not to diminish any lives lost in any war, but I just think that most people don't have a grasp of the level of devotion and involvement that we and all countries had in WWII and WWI.
