An event and time in our history that deserves it's permanent place in our history and memory.
Unfortunately there are far too many people that don't understand the significance of and/or give the recognition that this event deserves. Thanks to our wonderful Government run school systems.
Sad that I'm hearing more about obomacare on the news today and hardly a thing about the memory of Pearl Harbor. You would think the google homepage would have been dedicated to it today but nope.
I still get a lump in my throat when I see that picture. That is one of the most somber experiences I've ever had. My wife and I toured the Arizona Memorial on our honeymoon. The smell of the oil that is still leaking out was eerie to say the least.
My little girl explained the Feast of St Nicholas to me today (dec 6)
and I explained Pearl Harbor Day to her. And that both of her grandfathers fought in WW2.
We both learned something
(she's 8 and in a Catholic School, so smart she scares me)
