6 box ammo limit @ Fisher's WalMart

Fishers has a fairly large quantity of 40 and 9mm. There's a catch. There's always a catch.

It is Winclean BEB (Centerfire Handgun) at about twice the price of the normal white box ammo - ~$33/50 for 40 cal and ~$21/50 for 9mm.

I got tired of the drips and drabs from Walmart and made a pick up at Precision Cartridge today--1000 9mm 115 and 1000 45acp 230. I'm posting a separate thread with the details.

Walmart guy #1 said it was a 4 box limit on the 9mm. Walmart guy #2 came over and said it was 3. Too late. I had the 4 boxes in hand and made it out alive! Whew!

i was happy to get the 3 boxes they would sell me. for $9 (Blazer) and $10 (WWB), thats a steal compared to the gun shops charging >$15/box

You guys beat me to it, I was in around 4 PM, all Blazer Brass was gone, Terrance said it sold out by noon, expensive Winchester .40 was there "Winclean" he called it, "walletclean" I called it as it was $20 something for $50 rds (BEB) is said on box, they had NO cases of .40 anything stored on the shelves, but do have (as of yesterday 10 May 09 4PM) 100 rd bulk .223 for $40, have fifteen cases in the back they say, 3 box limit.

I had a driving trip to Cincy this week and had a little extra time on my hands, so for kicks, I stopped at a couple of rural WalMarts just to see if the scarcity of ammo was limited to the big cities. I stopped in Greensburg, IN and Eaton, OH. Guess what? 6 box limit signs and no ammo.

I think the 6 box limit has had a positive effect. It gives people a chance to actually get some ammo...

I usually buy my limits worth but you still have to be the early bird to get in on the ammo.

Just left at 1 pm 17 May 09 with six boxes of Blazer Brass .40 $12.47 a box 3 for me, 3 for ol lady (6) boxes at $80.06 after taxes. There were four guys behind me so it will be gone in a couple hours, 9.mm Blazer about 30 boxes, .40 about 20 boxes, .45 sold out this morning, .223 100 packs for $40 avaliable. (3 box limit)
