I've had a brand new T/C Omega Z5 with Nikon Omega scope sitting in my safe for two or three years now, and figure it was about time I hunted with it some. I've taken record book bucks with gun and bow, but never a muzzleloader. Besides, I have been wanting to add a LaRue Tactical OBR 7.62 to my collection for quite some time, so the funds went to that purchase. :rockwoot:
That's understandable. Good luck with you muzzleloader hunting! By the way, what scope did you have in that Larue mount on your SOCOM?

I just purchused a Nikon 8477 4x12x42 with built in range finder. I was trying to decide between it and the Burris Elliminator with built in range finder. I found the Nikon at a decent price used so went with it.

I'm waiting for Rock River to ship my upper. I'll be loading some 300gr. Remington JHP's and 325 gr. Hornady FTX to deer hunt with. I also found some 325 gr. cast gas checked bullets to load for playing at the range. With factory ammo as expensive as it is, I sure hope the rest of you guys are reloading too.... and have brass catchers.
