I zeroed my 10/22 at 50yds, but I suppose it depends on exactly what you'll be doing with it. If I went to a 25yd indoor range more often, I would probably zero it for that. As it is, I most often go to Roush Lake and shoot it on the 50 yds lanes, so that's what I set it up for. If you change distances a lot, I would go for a middle ground.

50 yards is a great place to start. The difference between 25 and 50 for a .22 is nothing. Either way, at least your shooting!! :rockwoot:

    ^^This^^

Start @ 25 yards -- Then move on out to 50 yards

IMHO a 22 Long Rifle is a 50 yard gun. I do shoot ( Or Plink ) out to 100 yards, but my 22's can group a quarter at 50 yards.

I zero in at 25 yards because at 50 you will be about .75" high and at 100 yds you will be approximately 1" low. So from 0 to 100 yards you will be within 1 inch.

Are you sure you're talking about .22?
I commonly see more like 8 MOA drop between 25 and 100.

My bad, I was thinking my Carbine. Here is a pretty goo bullet path chart for the .22lr at a 20 yard zero.
