I'm down at Ft. Benning right now and a store has a lot of bricks of .22. They have Federal AE and Blazer 40gr solid for 49.99/brick and Federal AE 38gr HP for 39.99 per 400rd brick. I haven't bought any .22 lately so I don't know if these are ridiculous prices or not?

I think that's kinda high. Whether or not I left it in the shelf for that depends on how much I have on hand and how bad I want to shoot .22

Seems high to me. But then again, I haven't bought any .22 in over a year now.

I haven't bought any .22lr in more than 5 years, I still shoot it now and again, and I still have somewhere near 8k rounds squirreled away.
The last time I bought any .22lr bulk packs they were $15-$18 for 550 rounds..
    Yeah, $50 sounds high alright!

To give you some idea. I've got a case of the Federal AE hp backordered from last fall for about $21.00 a brick. Still waiting though. I guess it depends on how bad you want or need it.

Unless it is high-quality match ammo, it is too high. I will not pay over $25 for bulk .22LR. Even that is pushing it. If you wait and watch, checking in at Walmart, Gander Mountain, or Dick's you can find it under $25. You just have to be there when the store opens to get your quota before the scalpers and their wives, brothers, kids, and dogs buy everything.

I just bought 7 bricks of Remington bricks for 24.99 at Dicks in Virginia Beach. They had tons on hand. 500 round bricks for 24.99, 1400 round buckets for 69.99 and 2000 round winchester ammo case boxes for 129.99. Good decent prices in todays world and they had several hundred thousand (4) rounds on hand.

I found some at Wal-Mart in Muncie a few months ago, only paid around 23/box for the Federal bulk packed stuff. $40 a brick is steep, but better than some peoples prices I have seen.
