Getting this one out of the woods was a long job for the wife and I. Bring it back she said it reminded her of Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea.:)

I got this one ten minutes after first light on Nov 15 in Michigan. There five different bucks on my trail camera, this wasn't one of them.

Great buck BC, nice bases and brows on that one!

I came out of the woods the other day dressed just as you are in that picture... landowner met me at the gate and said "What were you doing back there?" When I told him I was hunting he asked where my camo was, told him my advantage was in being able to shoot 200 yards and them bein' color blind, dim whitted and all. He smarted off and asked if I was so much smarter than the deer, why wasn't there one in the truck? Told him I was headed home to think about that over a plate of tender potroast raised in the pasture. ;)

    I said brown is down... I wasn't playin :)

She came in right behind me up the hill to bed in some cedars.

She knew something was up when I stood to look behind the tree and took a couple of steps, only showing me her middle between two trees, but she was quartered away pretty good.

45 yard shot for the CVA Optima, 250gr Powerbelt Aerolites, dropped her where she stood

    SOCOM strikes again...

My son got this doe last night. His girlfriend wanted to come along. I was surprised she toughed it out, it was damn cold. She even held the light while we field dressed it and got her first deer anatomy lesson. She also ate some deer burger for dinner when we got home. Not bad for a city girl. She may be a keeper. I don't know her parents views on putting pics of their kids on the interwebz so I starred her out.

He shot this buck back during gun season. Think I posted it in another thread already ...
