OH Yea! I'm putting in the vacation day request when I go back on Tuesday. There will most likely be me and 1 or both of my boys (ages 7 and 14).

Firearms:

Savage 10FP .308
S&W M&P .40
Several .22's ( 3 to be exact )
Norinco Mac 90 - 7.62 x 39
A couple 12 gauge shotguns
1 box of clay pigeons
1 clay pigeon thrower

Food:

brauts and hot dogs
ketchup, mustard

Oh, almost forgot.
I have the following .223/5.56 ammo that I'll be bringing to either sell or trade for some .308 ammo.

Here's a list of the ammo:
80 rounds (4 boxes) of Sellier & Belloit FMJ 55grain
20 rounds (1 box) of Winchester FMJ 5.56 55 grain
20 rounds (1 box) of Remington JHP 45 grain
20 rounds (1 box) of Remington Premier Accutip-V 55 grain

Ok folks...I KNOW we have more than 15 people in the NW Indiana area. What is the problem? Is it the distance to the shoot? or the date/time? Heck is it even the location? I mean nobody has really voiced any opinions as of yet. Just the hardy few that have said they will be there. Let's hear some noise from you folks. Let's make the 'rest' of the state take notice of those folks up in the northern part of the state, and NOT just the news articles LOL

One element is the NWI way of showing up and not posting. Guys like 1 post Jim or only check the classifieds Sally usually show up to the NWI events.

If you are one of these people please bring extra food and ammo. You will be hungry and bored if you don't

I'm new here, but would love to come and meet some like minded people. Two, make that three problems. Location, job, what guns to bring. I'm an over the road truck driver and never know when I'm going to be around, I live in Martinsville so it's a pretty good drive, and I have well over 30 weapons to choose from(decisions). I cannot commit, but if I'm around, I'll show up and bring food, beverages for myself and some extra. Probably only bring my newest additions that I haven't been able to shoot yet, CX4 .40, another 10/22, .44 mag, a few shotguns. What is the policy regarding "exotic" ammo? Things like shell crackers, flash bang shells, incendiary shells, etc...?

I think the things like flash bang, tracers and the such are no-no's.

Looks like we are going to have a decent crowd. I suggest that everyone bring a folding chair for themselves otherwise they will be standing most if not all the time. Where we are planning on setting up is the back portion of the parking lot which isn't REALLY for picnicing, but We feel that if we keep the RangeMaster fed he won't hollar. LOL

Looks like we have a fair amount of folks bringing chips and pop. If anyone wants to also bring burgers or hot dogs I won't complain. Maybe you have venison you are trying to move out of the freezer to make room.

Also the secondary reason for this shoot is for folks to get a chance to meet others face to face and share ideas, suggestions and tips for helping to prepare for a SHTF situation. Maybe we can kick around ideas of things we would like to learn such as Canning, or First Aid, or something as simple as how to start a fire with and without matches. I personally would love to see this as a springboard for bigger and better things. So please speak up. Let's get some dialog going on what would be nice to learn.
