1 Vietnam era 1974 Gerber MKII and 1 WWII Cattaraugus 225Q

    Hello INGO knifers,

I am looking to hopefully get into a more tactical configuration of knife. Fixed or fold, but prefer non serrated. I got intetested after seeing a few different high quality blades packed in Kydex holster sheaths with paracord lanyards. All new tech to me and super cool espescially with the things some companies are doing with heat treat for blade strength. I am thinking that I could get into this cutting edge side after exploring some over here.

I have two vintage combat knives. The Gerber may be more valuable than the Cattaraugus but I will trade individually or together if it makes a fair swap. I found out the Gerber is a 1974 wide wasp Armorhide gray handle. Serial no. on blade is 034014 and it features the fine serrations on both sides. The knife includes the original leather holster. The blade has some spots of discoloration and is pretty dull. Overall from the hundreds I have looked at recently the condition seems average. Im certain this is a very well made knife and is very collectible.

The Cattaraugus 225Q and is WWII era and was definately a millitary issued knife. The information I just found is the knife was issued to quartermasters for opening boxes or crates. This makes sense as to the knives heavy build. About 20 years ago I found this knife in some thick woods on my property. I have land so who knows how it got there but I found it on a stump sitting and waiting for me to save it. My brother commented yesterday when he saw I had dug it out of a cabinet how he remembered when we found it and laughed I still had it. It is a heavy knife and seems very appropriate for actual combat.

If you look at Tradertaters album stabby things, pretty much every knife he has I like. I dont want a Buck or Gerber or Case etc... I like his HEST, Mantis, Zero Tolerence etc... I eant to try something new. I live in So. IN by exit 0 on I65 right acctoss the river from Louisville KY. I will drive around an hour one way for a good trade or shipping is an option. PM me if you have any questions, otherwise thanks
