Switched jobs (couldn't take Boss's BS) and relocated to beautiful Joliet, IL. Also bought a new '77 Olds Cutlass, nice car, had it eight years. Sold it to a guy who bought it for his kid, kid totaled it.

Picked up a license and a used Yamaha RD250A two-smoke. I only weighed 80 pounds. But I still dreamed of the KZ650 from 76. I saw one on E.Washington St. painted red white and blue like a flag that year. What a time to be alive.

First car was a 71 Ford Pinto. Had a 1.6 liter four cyl with 4 speed manual transmission. It was a slug to drive, but had a killer Radio Shack 8-track stereo.

I was seven years old !
I recall the greased pig challenge and the awesome fireworks.
It was a different time so much pride in the USA !

BTW I caught the pig I bet that’s not allowed nowadays?
