I have shot them all a great deal, shoot great! They are hammer forged frames and rotary hammer forged barrels. We cheated a bit on the WWII design, polished the feed ramp and beveled the mag well to make them more user friendly.
what do you mean by "we"?
I have been sort of interested in looking at one of the Tisa BHP copies if I run across one.

Nice! I purchased a Tisas SDS 1911-A1 and it’s a nice gun especially for the price. I am new to the 1911 platform so I don’t have much to compare it to. I do have a question/concern for you more advanced users. I immediately switched out my trigger, grips, and hammer. Upon doin this my grip safety failed to engage when the hammer was cocked. I put the factory hammer back in and it was back to normal. What has to be modified for the skeletal hammer to work? Will I have to replace the grip safety with a beavertail grip safety? Are there any advantages/disadvantages (besides hammer bite) or is this purely aesthetic? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

How do you like the SDS 1911? I've seen nothing but good reviews how do you feel about them?

I like it, it handles everything I’ve put in it. I ran a box of steel cases Tula ammo through it without any hiccups. The sights can be annoying seeing as how they are standard fixed GI sights, but it’s very accurate once you get used to them.

Took a while, but finally found one. New in the box, Kimber Rimfire Super at the 1500 on Sunday. Couldn't pass it up. I've owned a GSG 1911-22 and just wasn't impressed with the quality of it. This one feels nice and can definitely see it's built right! It just felt right to add this to my collection.

All that work and you kept a drop-in beavertail?

Brother this was a “Built from what I had in stock” project.
    Gun was a trade in.
I had the slide/barrel from another gun.other projects.
I had the mag well grips and Pearce from other projects.
All I purchased was the Cylinder and Slide ignition controls.

Built from the spare parts bin.

With all of my 1911's being what they are I fear carrying them.
I needed a budget spare parts on hand build to EDC so as not to worry if it is lost to the system God forbid.
I would hate loosing this one but if I lost any of the other I would need an intervention.
