Well ChurchMouse.... Now you have the twin to mine! The 2011 platform in 10mm rocks. Mine is crazy accurate with Sig FMJ. One of these days we will have to get together and shoot all the AllenM builds.

Recently aquired Dan Wesson Bruin 10mm. Done a bit of chrono work and found a nice load of Accurate No. 9 at 15gr and a Speer 155gr TMJ. Accurate as all get out and moving at an average of 1,393 fps. ES at 31 and SD at 9.

I've heard that there are only (3) true 1911 platform designers in the U.S.A. ....... one is on the East coast, one is on the West coast, and they're both paying Churchmouse to stay where he's at !!!

Curious...what do you love about the 10mm so much?

I'm not at all recoil sensitive and immensely enjoy the 357 magnum revolver. This reminds me a lot of that caliber but in semi-auto so it's a win win for me. I also shoot a lot of 9mm and .45 but don't get quite the "thrill" from it like this 10mm. I also find it challenges my abilities to keep on target so I consider it good training on my grip, follow thru and concentration to complete the package.

Also I'm a handloader so it's easy to load from mild to wild between 1,100 to 1,400 fps. Makes for some great versatility.
