Recently aquired Dan Wesson Bruin 10mm. Done a bit of chrono work and found a nice load of Accurate No. 9 at 15gr and a Speer 155gr TMJ. Accurate as all get out and moving at an average of 1,393 fps. ES at 31 and SD at 9.

My father recently gave me my grandfather’s service weapon. He was in the National Guard and this was his side arm. It’s a 1924 Colt 1911.

It's been 100% so far with the first 180 rds I've fired. Tight in every aspect and more accurate than me. I've been shooting my reloads of Accurate No. 9 and Speer 155 TMJ bullets traveling at a average of 1,393 fps chrono'd. Very happy with this purchase for sure.

Absolutely, my first venture in to this caliber and i'm estatic about it already.

Curious...what do you love about the 10mm so much?

I'm not at all recoil sensitive and immensely enjoy the 357 magnum revolver. This reminds me a lot of that caliber but in semi-auto so it's a win win for me. I also shoot a lot of 9mm and .45 but don't get quite the "thrill" from it like this 10mm. I also find it challenges my abilities to keep on target so I consider it good training on my grip, follow thru and concentration to complete the package.

Also I'm a handloader so it's easy to load from mild to wild between 1,100 to 1,400 fps. Makes for some great versatility.
