Apparenetly they are considering a bill sponsored by the NRA to modernize the ATF--(hopefully to dismantle it--but I doubt it). At least that is what I've found so far!

"I just spoke with a staff member of the Committee. She said while S.941 - the BATFE Reform Act - could be considered, the hearings are NOT limited to that. It can go in any direction the individual Senators chose to go. She said it was a general topic and not limited to just hearings on S.941."

I'm sure they just want to streamline everything and make it easier for manufacturers to produce firearms and for retailers to sell firearms, without so much governmental red tape.
Heck they are probably even discussing a gun buyers stimulus rebate.

David Codrea took a look, too. Seems like they're going to have a look at regulating FFL's some more, as well as doing some touch up work on the corrupt and incompetent BATF.
