      80% Lower Receiver

Thank you all for your input -- looks like I'll be getting a kit! Any recommendations besides the 80% Arms Easy Jig?

      80% Lower Receiver

Thank you jagee, very informative post. And yes Fizzerpilot and Roadie, if I didn't do it myself, would be looking for a recommendation on someone with a FFL to do the work.

      80% Lower Receiver

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get some milling done on an 80% lower receiver here in the middle of the state?

      time well spent

I'd entertain an April 1 archery start. If I can't get it done then, switch to my 12 ga come mid/late April.

Ever see a duck in a tree?

Deer hunting in Parke County this last year, I have video of one I watched climb down and scuttle off into the woods.

      Another one goes down.

Great bird! Already miss turkey season!

      Missed chance.

Good luck! Definitely need to be in a stand next time!

      New Indiana Record Buck?

I'm hearing that the initial rough score puts it at 209, though with the deductions, probably would be lucky to be over 200. Couldn't agree more...bone is bone!

      Sabots??

That's not a bad thing! Better than it loving the Remington Copper Solid Slugs!

      Farmers not cutting corn

I'm still seeing a few fields up in Hendricks and Morgan Counties...but for the most part it's all down.

      Out this morning

And good luck this morning! I'm doing the same thing tomorrow -- want to get one down before the rest of the state comes out!

      Out this morning

I no longer carry it in the field for that very reason...use it on my boots and leave it in the truck. Nothing as fun as a bottle busting in your pack -- or pocket :/

      Sabots??

Yes, it's rifled. Just doesn't like the Super X. At 80 yards in a sled, it shoots about a foot wide pattern :/. Super X was fine from about 50 yards or less, so I might as well just use my bow!

      Sabots??

I've tried Super X but my 500 doesn't like them. Gotta go with the Hornaday on this one! Ever barrel likes a different slug!

      Shotgun question

I like my 500 and use it for home defense as well as deer hunting. Also, pick up a couple different brands of slugs to see which gives you the tightest grouping -- don't assume because you've always shot a certain brand of ammo that it's the most accurate with your barrel.

      New Indiana Record Buck?

I saw something saying Hendricks County, but Stephenson Taxidermy is in Madison County, and the area code there is 765 and not 317 (which is on the back window) -- not saying you can't hunt one county and live in another! As for not coming close to the state record, I read that is was north of...

      New Indiana Record Buck?

Came across this picture today on Facebook and didn't know if anyone knew more information regarding this buck. Indiana is definitely starting to grow some monsters!
