From a bit of experience about all of this, I know one does not know what one will do for sure, until it happens. Some will shoot, some will hesitate. Fear is a GREAT motivator. Unless you have faced the elephant you will not KNOW what you will do. My prayer is that you make the right choice.
I had a home break in when no one was home. Stereo equipment, microwave, watch and ring.
Last year the window to my suv was broken, child's diabetic purse with needles etc.
That happened in a town playground! I often leave my firearm in the suv as the playground is a "gun free zone" per no...

No I don't have your problem. My wife is always checking to see, as she calls it, if I am "loaded"! My family, with the exception of my mother-in-law, is very comfortable with me and my firearm. My grandchildren are especially pleased with grandpa carrying as they tell me it makes them feel...
MANY years ago my "bad" experience went like this...........I was carrying a S&W 36 in a worthless Uncle Mike's holster with the plastic clip. Went to the back of the car, in winter to get some things out for my wife. Was new to CC and turned rather fast, bumped the car door and ......dropped...
