Spring time, google earth is your friend. Start looking for farm ponds, head out and ask farmers for permission. Hit up the local bait shops, they may tell you some places. Look for access to creeks at bridges where you can pull off the road and park. These are a lot of times created by fishermen, this time of year you’ll need waders. Good Luck.

    Welcome.
As water temp rises the big bull Gills will be making beds on the sunny banks with gravel bottoms preferred. Pencil bobbers and 4 lb. Mono. 1 single small split shot a foot above your “wild caught” minnows or wax worms/bee moths. Enjoy it, you only go around once. And never…never tell anyone where you find your honey hole. Lie, it‘s what fishermen are famous for.

I never lie about my spots. I just don't tell the truth about my fishing spots.

    OK story time.
Over 50 years ago a couple of guys pulled up at my grandpa's place early one morning and asked if they could fish his farm pond across the road. They agreed to give him some of their catch, but he said it wasn't necessary. They fished all day. About 5pm they showed up and got back in their car. My grandpa yelled at 'em, asked if hey caught anything. They said, "no".
After they left, my grandpa said, "ya know, there never have been fish in that pond."
