Been tons of migrating waterfowl around lately. Several various types of diving ducks the last week. Loons have been entertaining us last couple days at our end. When they dive they are serious, they can hold their breath for a long, long time. We have had some American White Pelicans but they seem to have really zeroed in on Webster Lake. Wife’s beautician/friend has a place on an island there and told her Tuesday about how many there are. Today’s inkfreenews.com has an article with a bunch of photos. Following one is of friends place

I'm done with that until at least this afternoon. They'll probably show up when I go to take my nap.

Deck is "de-caved". I'll leave the tarp on the west end up for a little longer but at least I can see out back again.
Mulch should be here any minute. Probably won't start spreading it until after lunch (and nap).

I think it's only about half what I got last year, so it shouldn't be too bad.
