I put all my effort into the Chemistry portion of my BS and it has so far paid off quite well. :ingo:

Now back to kinda on topic, I need someone to talk me off the MK23 ledge. I finally played with one at the IGC a couple weekends back, it actually was not bad in the hand despite being huge.

I kind want one just because in all honesty , but I would think really hard about having the slide milled as I am not a fan of the tiny sights on that gun.
Here is the best video on the Mark 23.

Didn't Top Gun Supply post pics of the pallet of the shipments back then? Should have maxed out my credit card... I think they were $450 or $495 or something.

Could have put both sons through college with them now but I probably wouldn't have sold them.

I assume that there is no way H&K would make a new version of the P7M8? My understanding is that the manufacturing process is more complicated than most current manufactured pistols.

That's what I've heard but if they could do it in the 70's and 80's then surely they could do it with the machines available now in 2024? The slide is pretty simple, the frame is the complicated part, it does have a ton of parts and bits in it but those are all stamped steel and shouldn't be an issue. In the end though it's still a pretty heavy 9 shot gun with a different manual of arms.

Do you know anyone that has gotten one of these? Interesting information!
Not a completed P7. I've purchased some NOS HK parts from him and he's very reputable with quick shipping and reasonable prices. He's on HKPro and has a great reputation there. He's making a small run of titanium P7s as well and steel versions.

I am very interested, but couldn't find any actual pictures of finished handguns.

I had a PSP for a hot minute. Rarely shot it. Couldn't find nor did I want to afford more magazines. Sold it... And I sold it before the supply dried up so I didn't realize the stupid high prices of today's market.

At the same time I had mine, I was in the Castleton Gander Mountain. They had a P7M8 in the used case...but marked and priced as a PSP. And I couldn't get in touch with my wife to ask permission.

When I finally got ahold of her later that afternoon, i went back up to Gander - and it was gone. Someone got a 50% discount on that sucker.

That prompted the discussion of "I trust you - if you know something's a smoking deal, go ahead".

Coincidentally - that was the last smoking deal I've ever seen.

I contacted him yesterday as well. I was wondering if they were going to offer a slide with optic cut and compensator. Answer? Yes in Q2
