I took profited person to mean convicted felon? Don’t really know though, because there isn’t enough info in the story. If it is just because he lives in California that makes him a prohibited person, with that stash of guns and ammo, he had more than enough money to leave at some point.

I saw a posted comment to one of the news stories but can't find it now.
No way to know whether this is true or accurate so consider this gossip.
It said owner was a collector in his 90s and had been in nursing home for 6 years. The guns had been at his house with no one living there. I think someone had him declared incompetent making him illegal to own guns.
But this might explain the lack of details in the story. Lack of detail lets the public assume he is dangerous and arming a movement.

He should be fine then. He will come off as a "Well meaning elderly man with a poor memory" at trial.
There looked to be alot of military collectible machine guns. They should go to a museum and not be destroyed.
I bet alot of this stuff will make it South of the Border.

I cringe when I read that he had 11 machine guns (I wonder what that means in context of this article) and 60 assault rifles (again I wonder what this term means in context of this article).

The only thing that seems reasonable is that the man was not legally able to possess these firearms in California. I assume most of us would be in violation of CA gun laws, which is probably a big reason we don’t live there.

I am no way condoning the seemingly unconstitutional gun laws of CA, but the people there elected the politicians that created those laws.

That phrase "People get what they voted for" is on several threads here right now. I can't help but not to believe it anymore after the last presidential election. I also can't help but believe election fraud has been going on for years and years at local and state levels in blue areas. Just my thoughts.

Elderly man with poor memory. Was it Uncle Joe Biden’s summer home?

Your post seems to check out, based on excerpt from the link previously posted:

"...This arrest demonstrates exactly why the Armed and Prohibited Persons System is vital for the safety of our communities," said Attorney General Bonta. "In our efforts to retrieve guns from a prohibited individual, we found hundreds of allegedly illegal weapons and approximately one million rounds of ammunition. I am grateful for our Bureau of Firearms agents’ and local law enforcement partners' work in getting these illegal weapons out of the hands of this prohibited individual..."

Not even mentioning the man's age seems suspicious, to me. I can't say for sure, but this dusty old collection screams "old man who lived here for years," to me.
