From a bit of experience about all of this, I know one does not know what one will do for sure, until it happens. Some will shoot, some will hesitate. Fear is a GREAT motivator. Unless you have faced the elephant you will not KNOW what you will do. My prayer is that you make the right choice.
I had a home break in when no one was home. Stereo equipment, microwave, watch and ring.
Last year the window to my suv was broken, child's diabetic purse with needles etc.
That happened in a town playground! I often leave my firearm in the suv as the playground is a "gun free zone" per no...
My Charter Arms 44 Buldog has been just fine. Shoots to POA and I have had no reliability issues. Fit and finish not superior but for the price, OK. I does work!
A disturbing read but a very important report. I would have guessed the findings would have gone the other way. Perception "can" and often is the reality!
I wanted to reply to this important discussion but was blocked for some reason. That is now resolved. No, you can not shoot him/her. If you do you will find out how very inconvenient life can really get! Court, lawyers and probably a lifetime without your license. Serious stuff, that!
How about a thief, B&E takes your car keys, drives the car into someone and, as I understand it, the OWNER is liable for damages. Is a firearm any different. Attractive nuisance?
I agree, You are going to be in court for a long time. You will probably loose everything. Stolen or not, you are responsible. (even my umbrella extension would not cover this one)
