I can't wait for this election to be over. Seeing basically the same ads for both candidates (since they're pretty much indistinguishable from one another) is getting tiresome. Is there even a third party candidate running for mayor?

I am counting the days until the election, because these commercials suck canal water.

We need like a well funded old stoner to be running third-party against them, at least that would be entertaining.

I have a solution…at least a mitigating solution—DVR. Those things are worth their weight in gold.

The commercial I heard was Shreve saying he wouldn't dedicate police and prosecution resources to abortion/abortion issues. So, again, it's tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb.

The ad is *plainly* about abortion, it reads something like: "..recently abortion has become a topic in the mayor's race so I thought you should know my stance...abortion has nothing to do with being mayor...I would not dedicate resources to any enforcement or prosecution."

He hints he's pro-life but doesn't say it. FWIW, I agree it's a stupid topic in a mayoral race.

Unrelated, but I still can't get over how similar the two appear. I'm not 100% sure Shreve isn't Hogsett with some light costume makeup, or vice versa.

Reminds me of back in the day when there was suspicion that Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson were the same person.

I can't imagine that there will be a material difference between them in office.
