Make the classified "pay to play" and all this goes away. As someone that doesn't give a flying f*ck about the classified I'd like it if every time I hit New Post I wouldn't get half a page of people bumping their sh*t on the classified.
There, I said it and I feel much better.

Like the ones who bump their ads while it's still on the first page

That is not the rule. There is an admonition not to try one liners but the rule is quality posts, hence all the jokes about quality posts. From the BT post:

“In order to participate in the classifieds section, (post in the Market Place and use the conversation/PM system) you must have a quality post count of 50 or more”

IMHO just posting a wall of text with no interaction, heck they even quoted a BT post from a few years ago, but I am not a mod nor owner, so just my opinion.

As was previously discussed with the proliferation of talk to text runners can talk up a wall of text in seconds. The poster I reported was not engaging with anyone but mostly just going through the political and break room sections and posting a quick post before moving on to the next literally filling up the new posts with just their posts.

Not sure why this is controversial in any way, I remembered the post describing the new posts filled by one new poster and observed it was happening real time and replied to that post. I thought you guys were always complaining about action happening a not seeing it? In this case not much happened, but that is how it starts.

It isn't controversial that you reported someone. It is that you called them out in the open forum. Obviously the mods disagreed with your assessment as the majority of the posts were left, and they were able to get their 50 posts behind them.

Wrong again. I did not call out anyone in an open forum. I observed exactly what bob had commented on previously and said it was occurring at the time I posted. I did not name anyone specifically. The mods did agree as they communicated with the poster and clipped some posts. So get off the accusations BS up you don’t own the site either…

Got one right now, 16 of twenty posts are one new guy that joined at 7:39 pm…

That is exactly what that is. You posted about someone you thought was doing wrong in a thread dedicated to listing those that have been banned. Try to spin it how ever you like, but you were calling them out. I see why you are so pro HOA, same kind of mentality.

Obviously we are in great need for an epic banning to get this thread back on course. Maybe a mod could offer someone the chance to say anything they want without any consequences,..

Life is a series of risk/reward situations. With those come consequences. Without consequences? Exhibit A is the result of Revolving Door Ryan as the Prosecutor in Marion County.

Maybe a poll after a banning: Real? Mod-created? Bacon?

I'd have believed Sylunser (AKA the guy who tried to insult his way to 50 posts over a year ago) was made up by the staff. I still wonder, and I banned him!

Dick move. He was probably the most splendiferous upcoming member we had ever had. You were just afraid he would diminish your shining star. I think all of us probably wonder what became of him on a daily basis...
