First, the post you quote was in reply to the one immediately before it by bgcatty.
It's not always - or even often - about you
Except you know it is. Stalker. :):
Second, ABT fits perfectly. ABTs thrash around supporting anyone and everyone besides Trump. The fact that you say you will condescend to vote for him when you have no other choice does not affect the reality of the desperate search for a candidate to support who is 'anyone but Trump'. You've been quite willing to say it will come down to DeSantis or Trump, and it ain't gonna be DeSantis. So do you know support the last man standing with a chance to win? We both know that won't happen. That's why ABT fits so very well. I'm surprised you haven't bolted to the Ramaswamy bandwagon already
No, ABT doesn't fit. It's Anyone But Trump you'er asserting, right? Should I list the candidates whom I would not vote for instead of Trump? Basically everyone, except I'm not sure about Rammy. And if DeSantis is still around come May, I'll probably vote for him as it stands now.

And what you said here isn't semantically different from neverTrumper. Which I'm obviously not that either having voted for him. Oh, but jamil, you say. You didn't suck Trump's **** when you voted for him, so that doesn't count. You've again made everything more complicated than it is to try to fit everything into the world you believe in. You can't what-about your way out of it either. This ABT **** is retarded and you know it. If words mean stuff, ABT would fit someone who will literally vote for anyone but Trump.

DeSantis is done. As I famously said months ago, he is/was 2024's Scott Walker - all hat and no cattle, can't make a convincing case his success as governor will translate to success as POTUS

You constantly act as if Trump voters will move to DeSantis or Ramaswamy or whichever also ran you are backing at any given time,

Now that's some disingenuous ********. Here's what I actually think. I think you are so loyal that you will follow Trump off a cliff. I think I posted something about that in one of these threads.

the way you and your fellow travelers will supposedly move to Trump at the last minute. If he goes third party, you're toast but you insist on believing that Trump voters will 'come home' to whatever hot mess the Republican Party tries to serve up. It is wishful thinking at its finest
I'm not going to move *to* Trump last minute. In Nov 2024 I'll vote for the most US-first candidate on the ballot. That means if Trump is the nominee I'll vote for him. And I'll be happy and relieved if he wins. If he does win, I'll cheer him when he does well. I'll jeer him when he ****s up. And that goes the same for DeSantis if he were to miraculously win.

You are constantly on about how the Republican candidate will need every vote he can get while being willing to cast off the 14% of the vote (30% of the 46.8% vote tally Trump had in 2020, 22 1/4 million votes) represented by those willing to follow Trump to a third party
Cast off. WTF are you talking about? Are we even in the same conversation? Or are you talking to your shadow and imagining it's me. I have never said that Trumpers would not follow Trump if he went 3rd party. In fact I've always maintained that you guys would. You are not pragmatic voters. You're ideologues. So you'll do the thing that you do. You can't help it. Like I said. If Trump were heading off a cliff, you'd follow him down singing his praises.

What percentage of those might stay home if Trump isn't on the ballot? Will it be more than the vaunted 'independent' vote or the 'Republicans who will vote Democrat because they hate Trump'. You always invoke these vague reasons why Trump can't win and you never provide actual citations even when challenged to do so. Your unfounded faith that what you believe and what is the truth are the same thing approaches that of progressives
You haven't represented anything I actually believe. This is purely derived in your imagination. Why? Why do you make this **** up? See this is why I suspect your standard play for everything has to do with whataboutism. So when you can't what-about me, you make fake **** up and claim I say that. So then you can pull your whataboutism.

So how about when you cite any of the many jamilisms vis a vis Trump or 2024 or how DeSantis' smoking wreckage at the bottom of his impact crater is actually a sign of his popularity, you provide some proof to back it up - beyond 'everybody knows', which is actually a Leonard Cohen song
Like this for example. I've never said anything of the sort. What I actually think is that DeSantis is not all that popular. But neither is Trump. Neither is Biden. They are all negative on approval ratings. It's worth mentioning that DeSantis's net sucks less than Trump or Biden. But that's not a major point. And I don't mention it to make a claim about DeSantis's popularity. DeSantis's favorability is slightly lower than Biden's or Trump's, after all. It's just interesting that although people like him slightly less, they hate him much less. :):

Here's a bone for you. Normally I would not bother to screenshot something like this. Since I made the observation...

    Georgia indictment coming soon?

"Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis reemphasized her plans to announce charging decisions by Sept. 1 in her investigation into efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election results in the state."

“The work is accomplished,” Willis told a CNN affiliate during a back-to-school event last weekend. “We’ve been working for two-and-a-half years. We’re ready to go.”

While I'm not a huge fan of the man, these actions have every appearance of a bald faced attempt to suppress or destroy the leading political opposition.

I never would have believed I would see this in my lifetime. Especially considering the utter lack of interest in the election interference in Arizona.

Banana republics will now laugh at the USA, and utterly corrupt regimes will know with certainly that our admonishments are hollow.

    Please Lord, save this Nation!

The 4th box is looming if this isn't stopped. They are doing exactly what they're accusing Trump of - interfering with elections (and they should know, since they're experienced at it). If I have to live in a Banana Republic, I want better weather.

These are pretty much the same charges that they have been prosecuting some of the J6 rioters with who have already been convicted. I believe the head of the oath keepers received 18yrs.

"The 45-page indictment contained four charges: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights."

Saw that CNN is reporting that 3 of the 5 co-conspirators are Rudy Guliani, Sydney Powell and John Eastman.

    This is beyond stupid.

Was this the last one coming down the line or are there more they are working on?
    More to come…

This is getting so blatant, it's almost ridiculous. At this rate, half the country is going to vote for Trump, just to give the obviously corrupt State the finger. It wouldn't surprise me if, when Trump is convicted - and he will be; the fix is obviously in - people vote him into office even as a write-in candidate.

All this keeps making Trump stronger politically every time it happens. I've heard it likened to spinach for Popeye.

And the thing is, I can see real legitimate reasons why Trump might not be the best President we could choose at this point, but win or lose, I don't think we're going to get the chance to find out who else might have been able to do a better job.

Yeah all of this definitely seems to be having an effect on the GOP primary in Trump's favor.

    This **** is getting old
Then you've got the Dems saying there's no proof of dipshits corruption, except for the laptop, Joe bragging about getting the prosecutor fired, hunters tax evasion and gun charges, can't figure out who's coke was found in the WH...
I think the time is getting close
The laptop pretty much proved that the second impeachment was ********. Trump had every right to push Ukraine for information about potential corruption.
