I'm not going to move *to* Trump last minute. In Nov 2024 I'll vote for the most US-first candidate on the ballot. That means if Trump is the nominee I'll vote for him. And I'll be happy and relieved if he wins. If he does win, I'll cheer him when he does well. I'll jeer him when he ****s up. And that goes the same for DeSantis if he were to miraculously win.

Like this for example. I've never said anything of the sort. What I actually think is that DeSantis is not all that popular. But neither is Trump. Neither is Biden. They are all negative on approval ratings. It's worth mentioning that DeSantis's net sucks less than Trump or Biden. But that's not a major point. And I don't mention it to make a claim about DeSantis's popularity. DeSantis's favorability is slightly lower than Biden's or Trump's, after all. It's just interesting that although people like him slightly less, they hate him much less.

And the thing is, I can see real legitimate reasons why Trump might not be the best President we could choose at this point, but win or lose, I don't think we're going to get the chance to find out who else might have been able to do a better job.
