You have to be rich for several teams of ships to come search for you. With the common man they would have said oh well, we don’t have the resources, time, and money to search for you.
Plenty of stuff out there they did look for.
    Figuring out why.

EVERY sunk US sub has had people look for it. With varying degrees of success.
They still look for WWII subs.

Just came up on my Citizen app... The tail cone of the Titan has been found on the sea floor approximately 1600 feet from the Titanic. That's it... game over. RIP
    I've heard that.
I still want to get confirmation.
Seems every submariner of any type is trying to get his 5 minutes.

    I would NEVER do that.
    :)

I imagine that they were dead before they even realized that something was wrong. At least, I hope that is what happened. I don't imagine the event spanned more than a few hundredths of a second.
Probably better than waiting on the bottom to find out if it's the O2, CO2, or cold that gets to you.
Or a crazed person that loses control when faced with his mortality.

Just had a live report on the radio. It was confirmed to be debris from the pressure chamber of the submersible. The person reading the report said that they have notified the families. Really sad.

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. Still terrible, but not anywhere near the nightmare of sitting on the bottom of the ocean knowing what the outcome would be.

    Looks confirmed to me.

Some of those questions, I want to ask the reporter if they're that stupid, or they assume their readers/watchers are that stupid.

Oh. And this points out that when they say... we hear noises...
    IGNORE IT.

Just about EVERY sub sunk has had noises reported by search crews.
Reports from the search for the Thresher reported the same thing.

There is NO WAY these people made noises.

I think it's called 'normalcy' bias.
I'd say, there even needs to be a subcategory of it applying it to people's faith in TECHNOLOGY.

"Oh, those old rules don't apply, because of ....."

I've heard it so many times.
    Often from the general public.
But all too often from "experts".

Yes, technology does improve, or even fix things.
But that doesn't mean it's guaranteed.
And sometimes the 'tech' is just a few buttons, and a few LED lights sprinkled around.
Physics doesn’t change. Old white experienced workers would know that.

So would "old black" experienced workers.
    Submarines are not all white.
And the only reason I see to name a color, is for people on the Left trying to push a narrative.
Wouldn't they be more visible from the air, if they were all white?
