DeSantis is still young. He's only 44. Get a little more seasoning and take another run in 2028. He can run now though and get some national campaigning experience. before he losses to Trump if that's what he wants.

One other thing, popular candidates that don't win often have big influence on the promises of the winner.

Liberal sister from FL up to visit. Still hates anything Republican including DeSantis doing a terrible job. 1st he is a idiot for trying to take on Disney, he isn’t going to beat their lawyers and wasting $ on that and now their electric bills are through the roof! Couldn’t believe the last bill went up that high! I asked who raised them and she said the electric companies. Hmmmm? But it’s DeSantis fault? Didn’t argue with her she will never see but I did investigate this a little. Seem electric companies still recovering from 2018 hurricane and then hit twice bad last year and rising gas prices…and people DeSantis put in charge gave the ok for electric to raise prices, so guess it is DeSantis fault? But you live in a hurricane state and expect electric companies to eat the cost of fixing everything for free every time???? However I haven’t been able to find out how much higher the bills are? Was she paying $250 a month and it went up to $270? Or did it go up to $580 a month? She said she couldn’t believe it, but that’s from someone who already hates DeSantis, and of course masks save lives it’s a known fact. Now the question is if everyone is paying outrages electric bills in FL will it effect DeSantis….? Or just my sister…lol.

I went to the google machine and it says 20%

I suspect that the people who will complain about it most are the ones who think masks saved lives. And they don’t vote Republican anyway.
And who think that power companies should "eat" costs associated with hurricane damage, fuel price increases and natural gas price increases... they don't understand that monopoly power company means set percentage profit over costs... no more, no less.

“They make enough profit. We shouldn't have to be paying for their problems,” Jennifer Ullrich, a Duke customer, said.

I'm shocked. I had no idea DeSantis was going to run for president. I thought he was living the good life while promoting his book.....all over the globe. Should we open the betting window on his vp pick? I'm guessing Haley is the favorite followed by Scott. I just don't which checked box is worth more on the virtue card.

Pompeo, since he has the foreign policy experience… and a mid-westerner

Obama was paired with Biden for his supposed foreign policy experience and Biden was paired with Kamala because....

She checked the black and female boxes.
She sure as hell wasn't picked for her intellect. Even her intellect is incompetent. She's fluent in word salad though. So there is that. Her pick was a slap in the face to all competent, intelligent, articulate black females. She was the best they could do? :dunno:
