Are the Glock Pmags good to go? Seems they can be had for about $8

Hopefully, Magpul have it sorted out now?

At one time, Yeager expressed that he was fond of Pmags for rifles, but certainly not for Glocks. Lotta problems with students running Pmags in their Glocks in classes.

I have a few here and there, but never trusted them due to that info.

That said, for 8 bucks, they might make decent range mags if you don't have any in service? If you go that way, please report back. Be sure to run them hard, hot and dirty before claiming 100% reliability.

I use ETS mags as range mags. Never had problems that I could exactly pin to the mag. Still I only carry factory.

I"d say they are good to go. I've run the ones I have a lot and haven't had an issue. I know they got a bad reputation when they first introduced them as the first batch had severe issues. They recalled those mags and really haven't heard anything bad since. Tha being said, I still only use factory Glock mags for work or carrying and the Magpul magazines are training mags (somewhat related, but I even stopped carrying my Shield Arms mags and went back to the Glock ten rounders in my 48).

Why’d you dump the shield mags?

I run the S)&t out of the Glock pmags 15&17 round with no issues. Run the shield arms mags also 15&20 round with no issues on g43x. Have a buddy who says he has issue’s occasionally on the 20 round mags bu not the 15 rounders.

I've got a few, and I'm not a fan of the magpul glock mags for anything serious. Range toy, you bet. Bet my life, heck no. If you ever get out in the snow and in the extreme cold for any length of time with those mags you'll see malfunctions or at least I have. It's hard for me to say that because I'm a magpul fanboy. Personally, I just haven't seen anything that beats a genuine glock mag.

I am stocked on Glock, ETS and few Magpuls.

Still might be worth buying 10 (or a hundred,) of these to leave in the package? What will they be worth if a few more states are taken over by the libs? If Joe gets his way?

It wasn’t that long ago that I remember seeing PMAGs selling for obscene amounts of money.. having a few extra stockpiled for a rainy day isn’t a bad idea for 8 bucks a pop

This is great info. Wouldn't have readily thought to test them in the cold/snow. :yesway:

Honestly wish I had better news to report on them. I'd love glock mags to be $10 each, but it's just not the way it is.

Could be worse. Compare factory Glock mag prices to other OEM's. You can pretty much have twice as many.
I'm not complaining for the reason you mentioned. There's a reason why my sigs have the bare minimum of mags that I'm comfortable with and I have a shelf full of glock mags.

That blows my mind that with everything going on in the world that mags are still $7 each and not several times that amount. Good find.
